Teacher of Mathematics (Maternity Cover) - Liverpool (Full-Time)\n\nTradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a high-performing secondary school in Liverpool to recruit a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics on a full-time, fixed-term (maternity cover) basis starting September 2026.\n\nThe Role\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and well-established Maths department within a thriving school environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students are both challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.\n\nYou will bring creativity and enthusiasm to your teaching, planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire students and promote a love for Mathematics. The role requires a commitment to raising attainment and supporting students in developing confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPlan and deliver consistently high-quality Maths lessons\nInspire and motivate students to achieve strong academic outcomes\nDifferentiate teaching to support a range of abilities\nTrack and monitor student progress, providing targeted support where needed\nContribute to the wider life of the school and department\nMaintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement\n\nThe Ideal Candidate\n\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent\nExperience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting\nStrong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths\nAbility to engage and challenge learners of all abilities\nResilient, proactive, and committed to improving outcomes for students\nECTs and experienced teachers both encouraged to apply\n\nSalary & Details\n\nPay Scale: MPR1 - UPR3\nSalary: £32,916 - £51,048 (depending on experience)\nContract: Full-time, fixed term (maternity cover)\nStart Date: September 2026\nClosing Date: Early July 2026\n\nSafeguarding\n\nThis role is subject to full safeguarding checks, including an enhanced Child Workforce DBS with barred list check, satisfactory references, and compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education.\n\nWhat Tradewind Offers\n\nCompetitive and transparent pay rates\nAccess to ongoing CPD and professional development\nDedicated consultant support throughout your placement\nOpportunities to work within a strong network of Liverpool schoolsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, innovative, and welcoming school environment where teaching and learning are at the heart of everything they do.\n\n👉 Apply today with Tradewind Recruitment to be considered for this role
