Position: Project Engineers & Senior Project Engineers (Water)\n\nLocation: United Utilities Region (Hybrid Working)\n\nSalary Guide: £55,000 - £70,000 Plus Car/Allowance & Excellent Package\n\nOur client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for United Utilities and they are recruiting for Electrical or EICA Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers to help deliver these projects throughout the North West.\n\nYour role will be to manage the design (including challenging solutions and identifying opportunities for innovation), construction, commissioning and putting to work of contracts to ensure they are completed in the most efficient manner to the specification, within the time required and within the tender estimate without risk to the health and safety of all concerned while ensuring good customer satisfaction.\n\nKey responsibilities will include:\n\nInput to, manage and update construction programmes ensuring key milestones are met.\nArrange, chair and participate in collaborative planning sessions to ensure critical activities are programmed with all key stakeholders.\nPrepare and issue invitations to tender, collate responses and prepare cost benefit analysis with recommendations for award.\nPrepare and circulate requisitions to buyers.\nTechnical co-ordination between engineering teams and supply chain partners.\nDay to day management of site management team ensuring any issues are resolved or escalated.\nChallenge all stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation, doing something differently and improving working practises to realise opportunities and minimise risk - both to safety and commercial performance.\n Management and coordination of the risk register and provide monthly updates. Assist Project Managers to manage early warnings to variations to risk register with the project management team.\nAttend Health & Safety, Progress, Employee Forums and Coordination meetings,\nWork with the Project Manager, Health & Safety, Design and Construction teams to report on all near misses / unsafe conditions/ accidents/ incidents.\nPreparation of pre-start packs and collation and uploading of collated data to systems\nWork closely with Project Quantity Surveyor to generate cost plans, input commitments and monitor project out-turn costs, reporting to the PM any variations and assist in preparation of mitigation plans.\nChampion design liaison meetings\nEnsure that all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and that all activities are carried out with due regard to the Health and Safety of all employees, Clients and members of the general public. \n\nSkills, Qualifications & Experience:\n\nEssential: \n\nProject Management experience\nExperience of delivering utilising NEC3 form of contract\nDegree or equivalent qualification in an electrical or ICA related discipline.\nExcellent oral and written communicator with the ability to work in close partnership with clients and end users.\nUnderstanding of Health and Safety legislation and regulations including CDM 2015\nExperience of delivering engineering projects\nDelivery driven with experience of setting and monitoring targets and programmes \n\nDesirable:\n\nChartered with a recognised institute or be near chartered\nWater industry experience (non-infrastructure)\nExperience of using Primavera P6\nAPMP or equivalent
