Head of Internal Reporting

Role Purpose:
\n To deliver accurate and high-quality Group performance reporting information on a weekly and monthly basis, collaborating with a broad range of senior internal and external stakeholders to deliver insight, shape performance and support decision-making.

Key AccountabilitiesInternal Reporting\n
    \n
  • Lead the consolidation of the Group's internal management reporting information on a weekly, monthly basis and present to the executive team in conjunction with Operations and Commercial.
  • \n
  • Agree on timelines for receiving information from other functions to allow sufficient time for review and feedback by relevant Finance SLT members and the CFO.
  • \n
  • Work with the FP&A team as required to produce the flash of performance.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with the External Reporting team to ensure reconciliation of internal management reporting information to BPC/the Group's system of record, maintaining consistent classification.
  • \n
  • Ensure the completeness, accuracy and consistency of all management information by establishing robust controls and validation procedures.
  • \n
Monthly Board Reporting\n
    \n
  • Prepare monthly board reporting for the Greencore Group plc Board, gathering information from other teams as necessary.
  • \n
  • Agree on timelines for receiving information and deadlines for delivery to finance members/CFO to allow review in line with company secretarial timelines.
  • \n
  • Work with FP&A, Treasury and external reporting teams to analyze cash flows accurately, providing variance commentary.
  • \n
Capital Reporting\n
    \n
  • Conduct monthly reporting of capital expenditure and include this information in executive and board reporting packs.
  • \n
  • Apply consistent definitions for strategic/maintenance expenditure, ensuring approved capital spend is classified appropriately.
  • \n
  • Maintain the capital tracking tool and capital expenditure procedures, reviewing and updating them annually.
  • \n
Systems\n
    \n
  • Manage and maintain systems and data used for internal management reporting, handling any changes.
  • \n
  • Identify and propose tools (e.g., dashboards, Power BI) to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy, collaborating with FP&A and external reporting teams on potential Group‑wide changes.
  • \n
Ad-hoc Project Activity\n
    \n
  • Work cross‑functionally with Central Costs/FP&A and External Reporting teams on projects as required.
  • \n
  • Provide leadership and direction, ensuring team members are engaged, focused, developed, and delivering their potential.
  • \n
  • Sponsor and commit resources to support inclusion, diversity, sustainability, and cybersecurity/data risk commitments, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
  • \n
Knowledge, Skills and Experience\n
    \n
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with extensive post‑qualified experience.
  • \n
  • Significant post‑qualified experience in Internal Reporting within fast‑paced, customer‑focused organisations.
  • \n
  • Experience leading Internal Reporting transformation (e.g., utilizing Power BI or similar) highly desirable.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in AI tools advantageous.
  • \n
  • Commitment to delivering high‑quality information and demonstrable project management experience.
  • \n
  • Demonstrable experience in Internal Reporting at board level in a large company.
  • \n
  • Ability to influence and build senior‑level relationships across a matrix structure.
  • \n
