\n \nKey Responsibilities: \n \nDeliver tailored one-to-one GCSE Maths and English tuition aligned with the UK GCSE curriculum. \nAdapt teaching methods, lesson pace, and resources to meet the individual needs of students with severe SEN. \nSupport learners with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties, and other complex learning needs.
\nBuild positive, trusting relationships to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment. \nDevelop students confidence, subject understanding, and exam readiness where appropriate. \nMonitor and report on student progress, providing clear feedback to parents, carers, and professionals involved in the students support network.
\n \nEssential Requirements: \n \nMinimum 1 year of experience tutoring or teaching GCSE Maths and English within the UK GCSE curriculum. \nProven experience working with children or young people with Severe SEN in a one-to-one or small-group setting. \nStrong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies for complex learning needs.
\nPatient, adaptable, and confident approach to behaviour and emotional regulation support. \nRight to work in the UK. \nMust have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
\n \nDesirable Qualifications: \n \nPGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). \nExperience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other complex SEN profiles. \nFamiliarity with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
