Estimator – Regional Contractor (New Build Social Housing)\n\nLocation: Manchester\nSalary: Competitive + Package (DOE)\n\nWe are a well-established regional contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality new build social housing projects across [region]. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join our expanding commercial team.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs an Estimator, you will play a key role in pricing and securing new build social housing projects. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing tender documents, and working closely with the wider team to deliver competitive and commercially viable bids.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates and tenders\n\n * Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation\n\n * Producing bills of quantities and take-offs\n\n * Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations\n\n * Identifying risks and opportunities within tenders\n\n * Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams\n\n * Supporting value engineering and cost planning exercises\n\nRequirements\n\n * Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry\n\n * Experience in new build social housing projects is essential\n\n * Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs\n\n * Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications\n\n * Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills\n\n * Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office\n\n * Self-motivated with strong attention to detail\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * Competitive salary and benefits package\n\n * Opportunity to work with a respected regional contractor\n\n * Strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects\n\n * Supportive team environment with career development opportunities\n\nIf you are an experienced Estimator looking for your next opportunity within a growing regional contractor, we would love to hear from you
